(Adjustment of Atrnospheric Pressure Altimeter)
Article 178. A pilot-in-command shall adjust the atmospheric pressure altimeter according to the following methods:
(1) In the case of flight at an altitude of less than 14,000 feet above the mean sea level, he shall adjust the altimeter according to the values of QNH at points along the route of the flight (the field elevation at the point of departure, in case it is impossible to obtain the value of QNH of the place of departure at the time of departure);
(2) In cases other than that under the preceding subparagraph, he shall adjust the altimeter to the value of standard atrnospheric pressure (1013.2 hPa(hectopascal)).

 

(Speed Limitation in Air Traffic Control Zones, etc.)
Article 179. The speed specified in Ordinances of the Ministry of Transport under Article 82-(2) of the Law shall be the speeds prescribed in the following subparagraphs:
(1) For an aircraft flying at an altitude of 900 meters or less 」?thin an airspace specified in Article 82-(2) subparagraph 1 of the Law: the indicated airspeed prescribed as follows, in accordance with the classification of aircraft:
a) Aircraft equipped with piston engines 160 Imots;
b) Aircraft equipped with turbine engines: 200 lcnots;
(2) For an aircraft flying at an altitude of 900 meters or more within an airspace specified in Article 82-(2) subparagraph 1 of the Law, or within an airspace specified in subparagraph 2 of the same Article: the airspeed indicated is 250 」??ts.

 

2. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the speed as specified in Ordinances of the Ministry of Transport under Article 82-(2) of the Law for the types of aircraft used by Self Defence Force which the Minister of Transport has designated as permitted to fly at speeds greater than the speed prescribed in the same paragraph, shall be as prescribed by the Minister of Transport. However, the same shall not apply when the possibility exists that the safety of other aircraft may be jeopardised.
3. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding two paragraphs, the
speed as specified in Ordinances of the Ministry of Transport under Article 82-(2) of the Law for the aircraft specified in each of the following subparagraphs shall be the speed prescribed in each subparagraph:
(1) Aircraft instructed by the Minister of Transport under the provisions of Article 96 paragraph 1 of the Law to fly at speeds greater than those specified in the preceding 」?? paragraphs:
